March PANhellenic Woman of the Month

March truly flew by! Therefore, here is the March 2018 PANhellenic Woman of the Month!

The PANhellenic Woman of the Month is a new honor that showcases the amazing sorority women on the University of Georgia’s campus. As a public relations campaign, the PANhellenic Woman of the Month is publicized on UGA Panhellenic's social media platforms, the Panhellenic newsletter and the here, on the Panhellenic blog.

Elizabeth Willis, whose sorority affiliation cannot be disclosed as she will be serving as a Recruitment Counselor, is the March PANhellenic Woman! Elizabeth is an active member of UGA’s campus, both within Greek Life and in other organizations. For example, Elizabeth is the Executive Director of You’re Not Alone (YNA), which was founded to debunk the stigma surrounding mental health and provide an inclusive space on campus. She actually brought YNA to the university during her freshman year and the organization has grown to include over 100 members. Elizabeth is also involved in UGA Miracle, Student Government, and will be serving as a Recruitment Counselor (“Gamma Chi”) for the second time this summer!

When asked about her involvement in the Panhellenic community, Elizabeth says, “I love being a part of the Panhellenic community at UGA because I am constantly surrounded by women and leaders alike who push me to be a better version of myself each and every day. From the girls in my Gamma Chi group last summer to the individuals in my sorority, I am constantly reminded of what an honor it is to be surrounded by amazing women who have helped to profoundly shape me in my time here at UGA.” In addition to the people that have shaped her college career, Elizabeth has found a home at the university. She adds, “I love UGA because it is has become a community for me to make amazing friends, learn so much and grow in a few short years. UGA is more than just our football team, the arch or the saying "got dawgs." To me, UGA has become a home and a place that has pushed me to step beyond my comfort zone to try new things and really uncover who I am as a leader and an individual.”
