A New OL On The Block
Last Friday, the University of Georgia was proud to announce the 2018 Orientation Leaders! Orientation Leaders (OLs), play a major role in the official beginning to a student’s college career. These students serve as role models, counselors, and leaders to first-year and transfer students at UGA. OLs make a positive impact on the lives of the incoming students and are challenged to develop their leadership skills and grow as a campus leader.
Alpha Gamma Delta is both humbled and honored to announce that one of their very own members will serve the university as a Orientation Leader in 2018. Lizzie Digiovanni, a junior music therapy major from Marietta, Georgia, truly is the perfect person for the job. After an extensive application and interview process, Lizzie is beyond thankful to have this incredible opportunity. She adds, "It’s surreal! I’m excited to share my stories, especially those rooted in music and service. I’m excited to hear the stories that incoming students are going to bring with them! But most of all, I’m thrilled to be a connector. Initiating and fostering that connection to the University after these students choose us for their continuing education is what’s going to make a difference, change perspectives, and further fuel the ambitious hearts of those coming into this institution."
As one of fifteen OLs to serve to university in 2018, Lizzie says that "thankful isn’t a big enough word to describe how I feel about serving as an Orientation Leader." The sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta have watched Lizzie serve as a leader within the chapter and cannot wait to share her compassion, sincerity and loyalty with the entire university, as well as witness her overall growth as a leader. You go girl!
