A Love for Panhellenic
Written by Maddie Helmick, freshman Pi Beta Phi.
Going through recruitment, I talked about getting involved with campus ministries, club sports, and volunteering at the animal shelter. Now, as a second semester freshman, I find myself dedicating most of my time to Pi Phi. I knew I wanted to be involved, but I had no idea that I would be presented with the opportunity to be on the Junior Panhellenic Council. Being on JPan was a great way to meet girls from different sororities and girls from the UGA Panhellenic Council. In November, I was chosen to be the Pi Phi Assistant Panhellenic Delegate. Other Pi Phis who are involved in the Panhellenic Council have been of great demonstration to my expectations and have helped my love for both Pi Phi and Panhellenic grow even more. Meeting the other Panhellenic women has been such a blessing; they are all so genuine and just as involved in the Council as I am. Panhellenic has really allowed me to find my niche, and I can never thank Pi Phi enough for that. Junior Panhellenic jump-started a leadership journey for me that I can not wait to continue for the next three years.
