The Power of One Day

Shop with a Bulldawg is a student organization at the University of Georgia that aims to bring joy to children, hope to families, and the holidays to Athens.

The goals of Shop with a Bulldawg are based strongly in service to the community. The organization believes that all children deserve to have a joyous holiday experience. Above that, they believe that these children need to build healthy relationships, learn about educational advancement, and follow positive role models in their own community. This year, with the help of 1300 mentors, we were able to extend 650 invitations to children in Athens Clark County.

Sydney White, a Delta Gamma and the Executive Director of SWAB, said, “I fell in love with SWAB freshman year because it combines my two favorite things: gift giving and children. This organization brings you outside of your campus bubble and shows you that even one day of service can make a child’s entire holiday season. It is extremely rewarding to work with a group of people who share the same passions as you and strive to create the best event day yet.”

Madison Lindley, a Committee Member of SWAB and another Delta Gamma, said, “SWAB has giving me more then I could have asked for. I have met so many amazing people through this organization and have created lasting friendships. This organization is more then making friends; it has allowed me to really make a difference in the community. Not to mention the kids are pretty darn cute!”

Also shout out to all the other amazing Panhellenic women that are apart of the SWAB exec and committee team! They really make this organization possible:

Ashitha Rajeurs, Ashley Lollar, Danielle Mitchell, Ellie Varicak, Erin Orem, Georgia Wilson, Haley Planson, Jillian Schmidt, Riley Muse, Sana Khan, Savannah Horne, and Taylor Hill
