The Great Escape
As an annual date night Gamma Phi Beta hosts every September, Field Party offers the sisters and their dates a chance to enjoy the outdoors and take a step away from a busy college schedule. Friday, September 16, proved to do just that. The night was filled with country music, swing dancing, cowboy boots, and lots of pictures as the sisters of Gamma Phi Beta once again hosted a successful Field Party.
While earlier in the week the forecast called for rain and each sister was thinking of a game plan on how to combat the elements, the hopes of clear skies seemed to drift away. Luckily, the weather held off with clear skies and the night illuminated by the full moon.
With a rockin’ band that covered many popular country songs, the air was filled with loud music and people singing along to all their favorites. Sisters and their dates danced the night away, some as experienced swing dancers and others just learning.
“Field part is my favorite date night because we get to dance away a gorgeous night with all of our friends and their dates,” Peyton Ledford said.
All the girls and their dates enjoyed the night, a time to enjoy each other’s company and have some fun. With another Field Party in the books, the sisters of Gamma Phi Beta will have lasting memories of this year with their fellow sisters and friends, and look forward to next year to do it all again.
