Panhellenic's Communication Committee
UGA Panhellenic’s communication committee is centered around exactly what you’re browsing through now—the Panhellnic blog! As a group, the girls are responsible for collecting and editing posts by the four to five sororities assigned to each week of the school year. The committee also writes blog posts once every few weeks about special events happening in the Greek community and around campus. Emily Williams, Allison Walls, Brooke Owenby, and Alana Hood will spend the 2016 calendar year getting to know individuals in each sorority through the personal stories sent in by the delegates on council.
Committee director Alana Hood stated, “It would be almost impossible to meet every sorority woman on campus, and though I haven’t met many of the women featured on the blog in person, I have loved getting to know them through the meaningful experiences they are so willing to share. It is inspiration for me to hear the selfless, driven actions of these leaders on UGA’s campus and amazing to have the opportunity to give these stories to the entire Greek community.”
This past semester, the communication committee featured posts on the sorority presidents, Panhellenic Executive Board’s adventures, Panhellenic Council’s service projects, and countless stories of each individual sisterhood. This summer, look out for more exciting posts on study abroad trips, internships, and advice from the 2016 Gamma Chis!
