Rising and Shining

Every year, Delta Zeta Nationals hosts a region weekend in which all the executive boards and emerging leaders of every Delta Zeta chapter in the region attends. During this weekend, the University of Georgia Delta Zeta was able to meet with girls of other Delta Zeta chapters and exchange ideas and knowledge with one another. It is a great opportunity to grow as a strong region and improve programs within the chapter. Merri-Claire Lee, a rising leader in Delta Zeta who attended the weekend, said: “I learned the importance of forming relationships and teamwork. While it is great for every individual to have skills and talent, those skills are wasted unless everyone is able to work together and use them for the ultimate goal of the team.” The girls were able to hear from speakers from the region’s directors and attend an award's banquet. In addition to all of the suggestions from other chapters, the UGA Delta Zeta chapter left the banquet with many awards. They were honored to receive recognition for academics, philanthropy hours, and outstanding chapter members. The weekend was filled with many bonding activities and experiences that the executive board of Delta Zeta was able to take part of and learn from.
